We are composed of what we eat....

It is important that we relish the food we eat. If we cannot do this, but eat mechanically, we fail to be nourished and built up as we would be if we could enjoy the food we take into the stomach. We are composed of what we eat. In order to make a good quality of blood, we must have the right kind of food, prepared in a right manner. 1T 682

It is a religious duty for those who cook to learn how to prepare healthful food in different ways, so that it may be eaten with enjoyment....
The eating has to do with the life.... It is highly essential that the art of cookery be considered one of the most important branches of education.... Knowledge of how to prepare food healthfully, especially bread, is no mean science. 1T 682

God has bountifully provided for the sustenance and happiness of all His creatures; and
if His laws were never violated, and all acted in harmony with the divine will, health, peace, and happiness, instead of misery and continual evil, would be experienced. 2T 368

God might as easily have provided them with flesh as with manna; but

By the great supper, Christ represents the blessings offered through the gospel. The provision is nothing less than Christ Himself. He is the bread that comes down from heaven; and from Him the streams of salvation flow. The Lord’s messengers had proclaimed to the Jews the advent of the Saviour; they had pointed to Christ as
the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29. In the feast He had provided, God offered to them the greatest gift that Heaven can bestow—a gift that is beyond computation. The love of God had furnished the costly banquet, and had provided inexhaustible resources. If any man eat of this bread, Christ said, he shall live for ever.” John 6:51. COL 222

Do you realize that when you became a Christian, your body became a temple for the Holy Spirit to live in? His presence in you is a gift to you from God! So your body belongs to Him. You’ve been bought with a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. The Clear Word
